Hi, I’m Ronald Samonte.
I’m a Manila-based intimate portrait photographer helping women celebrate themselves through elegant, personal, and confidence-building photography experiences.
My journey started in 2017 after discovering how transformative these sessions could be. I saw something that went far beyond creating beautiful images. I saw women walk into a session nervous, unsure, and often critical of themselves, then leave standing taller, smiling differently, and seeing themselves with new eyes.
That moment became more meaningful to me than the photographs themselves.
Since then, I’ve worked with women from different backgrounds, personalities, and comfort levels, from first-timers who have never stepped in front of a camera to brides creating a meaningful gift, mothers reconnecting with themselves, and women simply wanting to celebrate a chapter of life.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned:
You do not need model experience.
You do not need a certain body type.
You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to be “sexy enough.”
You only need to show up as yourself.
Many of my clients tell me they were initially nervous, especially working with a male photographer. I understand that completely, which is why creating a respectful, comfortable, and pressure-free environment is one of the most important parts of my process.
You’ll never be expected to do anything that feels unnatural or uncomfortable. I guide you through poses, expressions, movement, and details every step of the way. My goal isn't simply to create attractive photographs. It's to create an experience where you feel safe enough to be yourself genuinely.
In 2019, I earned TESDA certification through a scholarship at the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging, strengthening my technical foundation and reinforcing my commitment to professional and ethical photography practices. But beyond certifications and equipment, I believe trust matters most.
Because beautiful images happen when people feel comfortable.
My style focuses on elegance, emotion, authenticity, and creating images that feel like you — not a version of you pretending to be someone else.
